The Moreno Valley Business & Employment Resource Center (BERC) is a one-stop center directed by the Economic Development Department of the City of Moreno Valley. The BERC hosts a large number of workshops, hiring events, information sessions, and more in order to help jobseekers and small business owners increase their skills and grow their careers and businesses. Through my position as a marketing associate and graphic designer, I was tasked with managing the center’s social media channels in order to increase attendance and awareness. As a result, a large number of flyers and social media posts were created in order to provide eye-catching visuals that intended to stand out amidst the endless scrolling algorithms while simultaneously communicating information about the events by using photos, color, composition, and clear visual hierarchy.
